Bachelor of Science in Athletic TrainingThe Department of Kinesiology offers a program that leads to the Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Athletic Training (BSAT). The degree requires a minimum of 120 semesterunits.
Students enter the program as a cohort and take a prescribed set of courseseach semester for four semesters. The General Education requirements are the samefor all CSU Fresno students.Students who are enrolled and/or registered in their final semester prior to graduationor have already graduated are eligible to sit for the Board of Certification exam.The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic TrainingEducation (CAATE).Applicants must meet all criteria for admission to the univer sity and to the Athletic Training major. Admission to the program is a two-part process:(1) admission to the university and also (2) admission to the Athletic Training major.All prerequisites must be completed with no more than two in-progress at the timeof application to the Athletic Training major.Athletic Training Student HandbookThe reviews all program policies and procedures. Theprogram has chosen to Voluntarily Withdraw its Accreditation effective August 2020. The programwill remain on probation until the Withdraw is effective and the program is closed.UPDATE - The Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training Program is in the process of applyingto transition to a Masters of Science in Athletic Training. It is anticipated thatthis new degree program will begin in Fall 2020.
